Burning Candles

Some excellent advice here from East Susssex Fire & Rescue regarding burning candles.

As part of the Fire Kills campaign, fire and rescue services across the country are asking people to take care this Candle Fire Safety Week 20-26 October 2025.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and make sure it’s fully extinguished when not in use.

Use LED candles, or electric candles as a safer alternative to candles.

Always keep candles and battery-operated candles out of the reach of children.

Make sure you have working smoke alarms.
